University Hospitals Dorset appoint Trusted Technology Partnership as an IT Delivery Partner
Trusted Technology Partnership, a leading specialist provider of IT infrastructure and support solutions, are pleased to announce they have recently been appointed as an IT delivery Partner for University Hospitals Dorset, helping them to deliver their IT transition projects.
Based on the south coast, the University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust was created from the merger of the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, Poole Hospital and Christchurch Hospital in October 2020. Now serving a population of more than 800,000 people and collectively employing 9,000 staff. The Trust has utilised the benefits of the merger to deliver improved patient care through better outcomes, improved quality and more efficient service delivery.
However, the merger of the two organisations and subsequent physical integration of various departments within the hospitals has resulted in an unprecedented volume of IT transition projects to be delivered by the internal IT teams.
Currently, recruitment of additional IT staff is a challenge, resulting in capacity issues and projects having to be prioritised and leaving some key projects stagnant. University Hospitals Dorset have chosen Trusted Technology Partnership as a delivery partner to provide additional skills and capacity to progress work on these projects.
“Trusted Technology Partnership is working together with our internal IT teams on multiple projects to speed up delivery and provide expert advice and guidance. With ever-increasing numbers of projects requiring specialist input, and recruitment to these roles a challenge across the NHS, we are bolstering our own teams with their external support across multiple IT disciplines, helping us to progress a range of projects more effectively and provide additional capacity, to provide the best service possible."
We are currently working with University Hospitals Dorset to supplement their already large and experienced Internal IT team with additional skills and capacity to fulfil their growing list of projects. We hope to build a long-term beneficial relationship with UHD to add value and enable continual improvement and efficiencies.
